Reuben Sandwich

Combine toasted Villaggio® Rustico™ White Loaf, tangy sauerkraut and salty smoked meat for this mouth-watering Reuben sandwich.

  • 4 slices Villaggio® Rustico™ White Loaf
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) grainy mustard
  • 1 tsp (5ml) sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) butter
  • 6 slices (100g) corned beef
  • 1 cup (100g) sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 slices (70g) Swiss cheese


  1. Combine mayonnaise, grainy mustard and sriracha in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan on medium-high heat.
  3. Place one slice of bread in the pan, spread the sauce on top and add corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese. Close the sandwich and let cook for approx. 4 minutes until the cheese melts. Flip occasionally.
  4. Repeat with the other sandwich and serve immediately.
