Italian Grinder Sandwich
This classic grinder is layered with a tangy, herb mayo and spicy pepperoncini, all served on Villaggio® Rustico™ Multigrain for an indulgent bite. Prefer more heat? A drizzle of hot chili oil adds a spicier twist.

Ingredients
- 4 slices Villaggio® Rustico™ Harvest Multigrain, toasted
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp (10 mL) Italian dressing
- 1 pepperoncini pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2/3 cup (150 mL) shredded lettuce
- 4 slices of tomato
- 2 thinly sliced red onion rounds
- 4 slices of salami
- 2 slices prosciutto
- 2 slices mortadella
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
Directions
- Whisk together the mayonnaise, Italian dressing, pepperoncini, and garlic.
- Top 2 slices of bread with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and red onion.
- Drizzle with half the dressing mixture.
- Stack salami, prosciutto, and mortadella on top.
- Drizzle with remaining dressing.
- Top with cheese and cap with the remaining bread slices.
Tip: Mix and match your favourite deli meats to suit your taste.
Smoked turkey, ham, and capicola all bring classic European deli flavour to this sandwich.
