  • 4 Slices Villaggio Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 tsp Each salt and fresh cracked pepper
  • 1 Striploin steak
  • 1/2 Onion, sliced
  • 4 Thin slices Provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup Baby arugula

Heat half of the oil in skillet. Sprinkle salt and pepper over steak and cook just until internal temperature is 145°F (63°C) (medium rare), about 7 minutes per side. Timing will depend on thickness of the steak. Remove from pan and set aside.

Cook onion in same pan until tender and golden, about 8 minutes. Slice steak thinly across the grain.

Divide steak between two slices of bread. Top with onions, Provolone, arugula and remaining bread to make sandwiches.

Brush outside of bread with remaining oil and place in Panini press. Cook until bread is golden and crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes.
