Sweetened with maple syrup, this loaded pumpkin toast makes for an uber-yummy snack.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Villaggio® Artesano Style White Bread
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) canned pumpkin purée
- 4 tsp (20 mL) maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) pumpkin spice
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) mini white chocolate chips
Directions
Toast bread slices until golden brown. Meanwhile, stir together pumpkin purée, maple syrup and pumpkin spice; spread evenly over toast.
Sprinkle with pecans and white chocolate chips. Broil for about 2 minutes or until chocolate starts to melt.
Tips:
• To serve, cut into toast fingers if desired.
• Substitute walnuts or hazelnuts for pecans if desired.
• If you like, add a few mini marshmallows and sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top for pumpkin pie s’more toast.
