With the flavours of a warm cinnamon bun, these roll ups have a tangy lemon icing for the perfect quick and simple sweet treat or dessert.

  • Cinnamon Roll Ups:
  • 4 slices Villaggio® Artesano
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) light cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) icing sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) granulated sugar
  • Lemon Icing:
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) light cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice or Limoncello liqueur
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) finely grated lemon zest


Cinnamon Roll Ups: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C.) Using a rolling pin, flatten each bread slice. Mix cream cheese with icing sugar and half the cinnamon until blended. Spread evenly over each slice and roll up. Brush each roll all over with melted butter.

On plate or shallow dish, combine remaining cinnamon and granulated sugar. Roll bread into mixture. Transfer to foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until crispy.

Lemon Icing: Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, icing sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest until smooth; place in resealable plastic bag. Seal and snip off corner. Pipe icing overtop of each cinnamon rolls while still warm.
